Uploading versus staying on your device
Sejda's website uploads your file over an encrypted connection, processes it, and deletes it automatically after two hours. That is a reasonable policy. Sejda also sells Sejda Desktop, which it says works without your files ever leaving your computer, which is a good option if you install software.
Cachety gives you that same ‘never leaves your computer’ result without installing anything. It runs in your browser, and there is no server that receives your files.
